James Heathers is a research scientist at the Computational Behavioral Science Lab at Northeastern University in Boston. In addition to his full time job as a physiologist developing new methods and techniques for analysing data in the biological and social sciences, James is a self-described data thug, a critic of science, who critically re-evaluates published papers to test their reliability, reproducibility, and robustness. As a meta-scientist, he has not only brought awareness to shody research practices and sloppy researchers, he has developed new techniques to probe published results to determine their accuracy.
